For number 7 I am having some trouble finding the area of one of the triangles, or the side lengths for that matter. I am having similar trouble for 13. I am thinking that there is something we learned about triangles that will help, but am coming up short. Any suggestions?

Let's start with number 7. If PQR is a triangle formed by the midpoints of the triangle ABC, then what do you know about lines connecting midpoints of two sides of a triangle? Can you prove PQR similar to ABC through such a process? (Think of all the midpoint theorems to assist you.) Once you have proved the similarity and deduced what each side of PQR would be in relation to the sides of ABC that are parallel to each side of PQR, then you'll know ratios. See if you get far with these hints and then report back by commenting on the blog.

Also, have you already made the cookies for tomorrow? Cuz if you have not, then you can wait on it as I went and got some South Asian treats for everyone. But if you've already made the cookies then I guess we'll just have more food!
